Roger East Photography & Canvas Printing

I am an amateur photographer, based in Cottingley West Yorkshire close to the Yorkshire Dales Gateway. I became interested in photography during one winter evening in 1981 at the age of 21, I got my first 35mm SLR at that time it was an old beat up Zenit TTL, from then on, I was hooked. I studied many books and learnt the art of developing my own negatives and even colour slides, building my own complete darkroom out of some vintage odds and ends..! Since then I have moved with the times and upgraded to a Canon AE1 programme and finally into the Digital Age in 2001, finally settling down with Nikon Equipment.

I have always had an interest in Architectural photography as I enjoy the weird natural surroundings most old buildings have. I'm passionate about showing natural shots and unusual angles. I like Graveyards and Streets and try to capture the diversity and excitement of places like Edinburgh, being a top favourite and other places: Cyprus, Lanzarote and various parts of India are special favourites of mine.
